Joyce: ‘pragmatic’ Crown Fibre changes lift investor appeal

The government is to release a “refined RFP” for its ultrafast broadband (UFB) initiative, which “may” include a lit fibre provision requested by potential private sector partners – a "pragmatic" change that would boost the project's appeal to commercial investors.Communications Minister Steven Joyce is looking for private partners to at least match the government's $1.35 billion contribution to the Crown fibre project.
