Judge rules on latest round of Westin debacle

It will be business as usual for the troubled Westin hotel building in Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour, after an application for an independent administrator was rejected.

The building, which was built by bankrupt property developer Nigel McKenna, has been plagued by conflict between various interests.

The application was brought by Michael Stiassny and Brendon Gibson, the former receivers of Mr McKenna’s companies Melview Viaduct Harbour and Lighter Quay Hotel Management.
