Judith Collins stalls on Bain compensation decision

Justice Minister Judith Collins has sidelined the question of compensation for David Bain.

Through her press secretary Rachael Bowie she told NBR ONLINE “there is no timeframe for when this will be completed, although it is likely to be next year”.

Miss Collins was widely tipped to make an announcement before Christmas after studying the findings of retired Canadian Supreme Court judge Ian Binnie, who was engaged to review the case against Mr Bain.
