Kiwi designers get a leg up into Asia

Kiwi designers are getting a leg up into the hard-to-crack Asian market, through an exclusive deal with a Singapore publishing house and e-commerce site.

Between six and eight designers who showed last week at the New Zealand Fashion Week (NZFW) will be chosen by Singapore-based SPH Magazines – publisher of Harpers Bazaar, The Singapore Women’s Weekly, Cosmopolitan and CLEO – to feature in its magazines for a season.

The designers will also be stocked at online shopping site SheShops, a joint venture between SPH Magazines and e-commerce fashion company Inverted Edge.
