Law not on the side of oil ship protesters – Duynhoven

New Plymouth mayor Harry Duynhoven says guilty pleas from Greenpeace activists who illegally boarded a Shell oil ship shows the law is on the side of businesses in cases like this.

Seven people, including actress Lucy Lawless, were arrested in February after spending three days on the Noble Discoverer, a drill ship which was due to travel to the Arctic for oil exploration.

The protesters pleaded guilty at the Auckland District Court today to being unlawfully on the Noble Discoverer.
