Leaky building insurance slip-up exposed

An insurance oversight has cost a leaky building contractor nearly $4 million after the Court of Appeal rejected its indemnity claim against its insurer.Arrow International was the contractor responsible for the building and design of a leaky apartment complex in Wellington called Luxford Villas, which featured 40 residential and five retail units.The villas were completed in 2000, then in early 2002 Arrow switched its insurance policy to QBE Insurance (International).
