Low-alcohol wine project starts

Work is under way on the largest research and development effort ever undertaken by the New Zealand wine industry: to make this country a world leader in lower alcohol and lower calorie wines.

Primary Growth Partnership director at the Ministry for Primary Industries, Justine Gilliland, says The Lifestyle Wines programme will raise New Zealand’s already strong reputation for producing some of the world’s finest wines. 

“This is the first wine industry programme under the PGP, marking not only an exciting time for the PGP but also for our wine industry.”
