Maclean Computing liquidator: why I took a quick deal

The liquidator who allowed a phoenix company to buy the assets of a failed Auckland IT business says a quick deal saved almost 50 jobs and protected the bank's interests.

Allan Maclean's firm Maclean Computing (MCL) was placed into liquidation on July 13, leaving more than $3 million of debts, including staff holiday pay, unpaid GST and PAYE, and more than $1 million to bank ANZ National.
