Malcolm Beattie's wrist slapped in protracted junket scandal case

Hospitality industry high-flyer Malcolm Beattie has been wrist-slapped by a High Court Judge for breaching court orders relating to his alleged sports junket poaching trial.

Justice Ed Wylie has given Mr Beattie and business partner Anthony Regan one last chance to give former employer Premier Events Group access to financial documents and contracts – delay of which is slowing the trial.

“Their discovery to date is woefully inadequate and in breach of court orders,” Justice Wylie said in a reserved judgment relating to outstanding pre-trial matters.
