Mayor’s lawyers question whether EY report is admissible if McCready is allowed private prosecution

Lawyers for Auckland mayor Len Brown have sent a letter to the Deputy Solicitor-General requesting he decline Graham McCready’s bid for private prosecution.

Mr McCready is known for bringing his private prosecution against Act Party leader John Banks for signing a false electoral return, which the Crown has taken over, with a trial at the High Court in May.
