Aussie Treasurer blocking trans-Tasman tax reform, says Rob McLeod

The current Australian government is unlikely to move on trans-Tasman tax reform but a future one might be more amenable, leading tax expert Rob McLeod says.

The likelihood of New Zealand investors in Australian companies getting credits for tax paid in Australia – and vice versa – is low under the Julia Gillard Labor government, according to Mr McLeod, Ernst & Young managing partner for Oceania.
