Mega backdoor shareholder faces 25 securities charges

The major shareholder of the listing vehicle for Kim Dotcom’s Mega online storage business is facing 25 securities charges in Australia.

Meanwhile, two of Mega’s existing shareholders include a company controlled by an associate of ex-bankrupt developer Jamie Peters and a significant National Party donor.

Mega is seeking a backdoor listing through TRS Investments, an NZX listed company majority-owned by Melbourne businessman Paul Choiselat.
