Mighty River Power admits worker's 'inappropriate procurement'
Mighty River Power has admitted it dismissed a power station employee for "inappropriate procurement activity".
An external investigator has been hired to to file a report on an alleged fraud but no criminal charges have been laid.
A spokeswoman for the state-owned-enterprise, Katherine Litten, says the alleged fraud totalled “less than seven figures”.
She says the discrepancy was identified internally and an independent investigator was appointed to write a report.
