New facilities management appointment for Oyster

Chris Whiteley has been appointed National Facilities Manager for leading commercial property company, Oyster Group.
Chris has nearly 20 years’ facilities management experience and joins Oyster from Stride Property Limited where his role included being an integral part of the Management Team responsible for planning, implementing and opening the North West Shopping Centre.
Prior to Stride, Chris held Facilities Management roles with the Westfield Group.
Chris brings with him extensive experience in the preparation of operating and capital expenditure budgets, with a strong focus on preventative maintenance. He has particular skills in negotiating service contracts, running multiple tenders and implementing Health and Safety systems.
At Oyster, he will be responsible for facilities management of the group’s extensive portfolio of properties throughout New Zealand.
Oyster is a specialist property and fund manager with over $NZ900 million of property assets under management through a combination of public and wholesale property syndicates and funds, and institutional and private property management mandates.
