Ngai Tahu sells $31m in shares for quake rebuild

Iwi powerhouse Ngai Tahu says it sold more than $30 million of shares in listed company Ryman Healthcare in preparation for Christchurch's rebuild.

And the city's chamber of commerce is backing the tribe to lead both housing and commercial property developments as Christchurch rebounds from the recent earthquakes.

As reported by NBR ONLINE last week, Ngai Tahu Capital sold a 2% stake in retirement village developer and operator Ryman.
