NZ farming facing crossroads of competitiveness

The trade-off between profit and the environment is identified in a new Rabobank report as a crucial challenge to the future competitiveness of New Zealand agriculture.

The report, Compeitive Challenges: Environmental regulations changing the rules of the game, warns that increased research and innovation in farming systems will be required if the agricultural sector is to remain competitive.
