Kiwis dying for nothing in Afghanistan – defence expert

An international expert in strategic and defence studies doubts whether New Zealand’s efforts in Afghanistan will count for much once our troops leave the country next April.

Clive Williams, of the Australian National University, told NBR ONLINE  the “hard reality of what you have done in Bamiyan will probably come to nought”.

And he says the ten New Zealand soldiers who have been killed have probably lost their lives in vain.
