Potential buyers line up for bites of HeliPro
An iconic helicopter company announced its receivership today on the back of unmanageable debt and is likely to be portioned up into bite-sized pieces for sale.
Palmerston North-based Rick Lucas Helicopters, which owns red helicopter tourism company HeliPro, has appointed PwC as receivers.
HeliPro operates from eight bases throughout New Zealand and has operations in Fiji and Australia.
The business, which has about 70 staff, provides commercial and tourism helicopter activities, maintenance services, search and rescue, fire fighting and flight training.
