Potential FMA probe into listed company leaks ‘valid’, Hawkins says

A regulatory probe into listed companies leaking market-sensitive information to analysts would be “valid,” Shareholders Association chairman John Hawkins says, but he’s unaware it’s a significant issue.

As revealed by NBR ONLINE yesterday, the Financial Markets Authority is investigating a complaint of so-called “selective disclosure” and is considering conducting a general review.
