Questions surround 'arrogant' new Fonterra chairman
The appointment of John Wilson as Fonterra's new chairman will not go down well with farmers, former Federated Farmers dairy chairman Lachlan McKenzie says.
Mr McKenzie, who has known Mr Wilson for about five years, describes his management style as arrogant.
Mr Wilson does not understand what the purpose of a co-operative is and has not earned the respect of many farmers, Mr McKenzie told NBR ONLINE.
Mr Wilson has been on the Fonterra board since 2003, is chairman of the milk price panel and is a former chairman of the shareholders' council.
