Rudd resurrection update: Markets, pundits see hope for Labor
The pundits and the markets are likely to approve the Rudd resurrection.
After being sworn in as prime minister today he is likely to announce policies that will focus on economic management, please business and face issues in the ailing manufacturing sector.
Half a dozen members of the cabinet have resigned in the wake of Julia Gillard’s defeat and have been replaced by Rudd loyalists.
This is likely to bring a review of Labor policies, particularly those that are likely to hurt the party’s chances at the election set for September 14.
