Sir Paul Holmes and the 'repugnant national holiday'

This time last year Sir Paul Holmes was in seemingly good health and railing against Waitangi Day, saying it was time to “cancel our repugnant national holiday”.

Today, with Waitangi Day barely a week away, he is fighting for his life, battling prostate cancer and heart disease, as the rest of New Zealand wonders what the Maori malcontents have in store for us on February 6.
