Supreme Court may name professional man in drugs-related case

An Auckland professional man involved in a serious drugs-related charge was preparing a bid to the Supreme Court for permanent name suppression, the Court of Appeal was told on Monday.The Court of Appeal reserved its decision on the man's bid for permanent suppression of his name, occupation, the charge and the nature of his relationship with a female co-accused.The man (65) and the female co-accused (60), who also wanted permanent name suppression, were arrested and charged as a result of a major police bugging operation in 2008.
