Gisborne commercial buildings change hands
The Spanish Mission-inspired Adair’s building at 185 Gladstone Rd in Gisborne’s central business district will be refurbished by its new owners.
Waiheke Island-based Matthew Sollis and his wife Amanda jointly acquired the property last year in a receivership sale through their company Saxony-Anhalt for $850,000, according to land transfer records.
This compares with the rateable value of $1.4 million.
The 1930s art deco building was earthquake-strengthened in recent years and now the couple have commissioned repair and paint work for the exterior.
