Tribunal rules against accountant in Gilchrist Anderson tax dodge

The NZ Chartered Accountants Disciplinary Tribunal says Imran Mohammed Kamal would have been struck off its register had he not resigned already. 

The disciplinary tribunal today handed down the order – equivalent to being struck off – rather than a three-year suspension as Mr Kamal proposed. 

It found Mr Kamal brought the profession into disrepute when he was convicted of six offences punishable by imprisonment.
