True Labour candidates yet to take the field

OPINION

For all its hilarity, the current Labour leadership fiasco is a mere curtain raiser. Having checked out the field, the weather and the crowd, the true players have retired temporarily to warm up under the stands.

With the possible exception of Grant Robertson, none of the four about to embark on Labour’s three-week leadership jamboree has the mark of a future prime minister.
