Volunteers save law society from insolvency – lawyer

Legal leaders are under continuing fire from within over a radical proposal to restructure the 3000-member Auckland district law society.

Another lawyer has attacked the society's high management wage bill, claiming the society would be insolvent if not for free time given by judges and specialist lawyers.

Commenting to NBR ONLINE on concerns over leadership proposals to restructure the society, lawyer Yoon Lee questions what management brings to the law socierty in exchange for what he claims is a million-dollar salary bill.
