Water-claim Geiringer wants a bigger serve of legal-aid gravy

Relatively new paddler in the Waitangi Tribunal legal aid gravy waka is barrister Felix Geiringer.

Those who have been following the New Zealand Maori Council’s claim – backed by taniwha bogey-men and other selective snatches of fantasy folklore – for rights over New Zealand’s water, will know Mr Geiringer is the council’s lead lawyer in this strange affair.

Strange, because some folk might be forgiven for thinking the real motive behind the claim is not so much about rescuing water as clipping a profitable koha ticket every way possible.
