‘Airy-fairy’ unit titles law changes under fire

Although the Unit Titles Act Amendment Bill – intended to fix mistakes in a two-year-old law – has passed its second reading, lawyers say it is not enough.

They say the minor changes do not go far enough to fix the “broken” law.

Greenwood Roche lawyer John Greenwood says the government is “tinkering with technical amendments and not dealing with the substance of the problems”.
