What favour is the Vector board asking for?

Two years after pulling a proposal to increase the fees paid to its directors, Vector is back with a new proposal, albeit on a much smaller scale.The electricity and gas distributor and local fibre player is asking shareholders to approve a 5.5% increase in directors' fees at the annual meeting on October 22.The proposals would see annual fees paid to chairman Michael Stiassny increase by $9900 to $189,900 plus GST while other directors would get a $4950 rise to $94,950 plus GST effective from October 1 this year.
