What the public thinks of the government’s Hobbit deal

A majority of New Zealanders support the deal struck by the government to keep the Hobbit films in NZ – but a majority don't want a similar deal to happen again.According to a new nationwide online survey, 56.4% support the deal cut by the government with US film studio Warner Bros and only 18.8% disapprove.Warner Bros sought more money through tax rebates and an assurance that employment law ‘uncertainties' were cleared up to their advantage.
