A trade show in Auckland next month will boost business tourism by millions of dollars, organisers say.
The annual MEETINGS trade show, which will bring more than 1000 people together at SkyCity's convention centre, has attracted record numbers.
The expo gives overseas conference and incentive travel planners a chance to meet New Zealand suppliers and operators of venues, products and services.
The June 13 and 14 event will feature 172 exhibitors and 350 day buyers, as well as 188 hosted buyers from countries such as Australia, the United States, China, Malaysia, Singapore and India.
"The stage is set for some significant business deals to be initiated," Conventions and Incentives New Zealand chief executive Alan Trotter says.
Event manager Jeanette Stanton says 1000 people are expected to attend over two days.
Last year's event in Rotorua generated more than $32 million of business leads.
