Crowe Horwath today announces the promotion of three associate principals to the role of principal within its tax, audit and corporate advisory teams.
New principals Marnus Beylefeld, (at 33 the firm’s youngest-ever principal), and Paul Lawrence work in Auckland and Greg Neill in the Hawke’s Bay office of the national accounting and business advisory firm.
Crowe Horwath Chief Executive Phil Mulvey says the promotions recognise the hard work and commitment the three have shown to their clients, their teams and the business.
“As with Greg and Paul, Marnus has developed strong leadership skills and it says much about his value to the business both as a person and in his role that he is our youngest ever Principal of the corporate advisory consulting team.”
He says Mr Beylefeld has developed expertise in the valuation, corporate finance and litigation support areas at Crowe Horwath. “Marnus’ skill set is in high demand as we grow the corporate finance and our mergers and acquisitions work,” Mr Mulvey says. “We are delighted to welcome him as a Principal of the consulting team.”
Mr Mulvey says Mr Lawrence, working in our Audit and Assurance team, has a particular interest and expertise within the education and charity sector. “He is keen to continue driving growth in the not-for-profit sector as part of the New Zealand audit team’s overall growth strategy.”
Greg Neill, head of Tax Advisory in Hawke’s Bay advises on a broad range of New Zealand matters for individuals, small to medium enterprises and corporates. “He provides advice on the full spectrum of tax matters, ranging from small individual issues through to complex corporate or financing transactions,” says Mr Mulvey.
Mr Mulvey goes on to say “It’s encouraging to see the younger leadership layer emerging and getting involved in niche areas they have personal interest in – that makes them passionate and informed when giving advice to clients.
