e-Spatial, the independent spatial consultancy firm, today announced that it has appointed Maren John as a Spatial Consultant.

Maren is a senior analytics professional who joins e-Spatial from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where she was a Senior Analyst (Consulting) in the Finance and Economics team. Prior to PwC, Maren was employed as a Statistical Analyst at Statistics New Zealand and a Policy Analyst at the Ministry of Economic Development. She has also worked on a range of operational and strategic projects in Germany and South Africa.

Educated at Fontys International University in the Netherlands and Victoria University in Wellington, Maren has an Honours degree in International Business and Management, and a Master’s Degree in International Relations.

e-Spatial’s Managing Director Simon Jellie said, “Organisations are ‘waking up’ to the value that location brings to understanding their assets and their customers – not only where they are but how they are affected by and relate to the surrounding environment.

“e-Spatial has grown its forward order book on the back of a marked increase in demand for independent GIS consultancy as more and more companies and local government authorities realise the potential of applied spatial technology to better deliver their products and services.

“Maren complements our growing consulting team with her strengths in data analytics, cost/benefit analysis and business case development. Her communication skills and attention to detail will significantly benefit client engagements.”
