Fletcher Building expects its 2010/11 net earnings to be in the range of $311 million to $405 million in line with analysts forecasts, chairman Ralph Waters said today.
Mr Waters said the start of this financial year had been pleasing with group performance in the first four months in line with budget and ahead of the same period in the first and second halves of the 2010 financial year.
"Assuming a continued gradual improvement in New Zealand construction volumes, robust economic performance in Australia and Asia, and stable markets in Europe and North America, we expect net earnings to be well within the range of analysts expectations, and broadly in line with the average of analysts' consensus estimates [of $357 million]," Mr Waters said.
