Ousted ACT leader Rodney Hide will keep his ministerial portfolios but will retire from Parliament at the election, new leader Don Brash announced today.
Dr Brash announced the decision at a press conference in Wellington this afternoon.
He said deputy leader John Boscawen would become ACT's leader in Parliament. Dr Brash cannot fill that role as he is not an MP.
Mr Boscawen will remain the party's deputy leader, but will give up his Consumer Affairs and Associate Commerce Minister portfolios.
Newest ACT MP Hilary Calvert will be the party's whip.
