What you spent on recycled census ads

Figures obtained by NBR ONLINE reveal $1.87 million was spent on 2013 census advertising (scroll down for video).

This includes the development of TV, radio, print and online ads, placement for those ads, and various social media initiatives pitched at young people.

While NBR ONLINE earlier reported this year’s census was the most expensive yet, the advertising was cheaper than the $2 million contract awarded for the scheduled 2011 census.
