Primary sector must find 50,000 more workers - report

The primary sector needs to employ an additional 50,000 workers if it is to achieve the government’s goal of doubling exports by 2025.

According to a report compiled by the Ministry for Primary Industries, “People Powered: Building capabilities to keep New Zealand’s primary industries internationally competitive,” a wide range of skills will be needed to meet the diverse needs. (See report attached)
