Accused Herbert Insurance founder to enter plea
The owner of Herbert Insurance Group, alleged to owe millions of dollars to the country's largest insurers, will be asked to enter a plea in Auckland District Court in September.
Grant Malcolm Herbert's Auckland-based brokerage collapsed last year owing $3.1 million to a number of big insurers.
He is facing 28 charges under the Crimes Act and Secret Commissions Act.
The Serious Fraud Office has been investigating Mr Herbert since the collapse in March last year.
