Court rules on Bob Jones' tax appeal

The Court of Appeal has ruled in favour of Wellington property magnate Sir Robert Jones over a tax liability overpayment.

His former accountants WHK New Zealand and predecessors Sherwin Chan and Walshe (SCW) appealed an earlier High Court decision over the tax liability.

Last year’s High Court decision awarded Sir Robert damages of $4.285 million and interest, and costs of $899,635.
