Car Torque: Control of Peugeot at Stake

The head of Chinese carmaker Dongfeng Motor has rejected claims that his company plans to take control of PSA (Peugeot-Citroen).

Dongfeng and the French government are each poised to take a 14% stake in PSA, as the troubled French company raises capital to develop its export markets outside Europe. Under the new arrangement, the Peugeot family’s stake will also fall to 14%, meaning it will lose control of the group for the first time in its history.
