Goldman Sachs NZ profit jumps 300%; how much tax has it paid?
Goldman Sachs New Zealand has posted a 71% gain in fees and commissions on the back of the best year for new equity raisings in this country for more than a decade.
The local firm, ultimately owned by Wall Street’s arguably most powerful investment bank, saw total revenue climb to $49.9 million in the year to December 2013, up from $31.7 million in 2012, according to financial accounts lodged with the Companies Office.
Fees and commissions rose to $46.7 million from $27.26 million.
Net profit soared 300% to $15.9 million in 2013, from $5.3 million in 2012.
