Tawdry TV show turns on viewers and tops TV3 ratings

A carpet cleaner caught on camera allegedly committing an indecent act grabbed the attention of more than half a million viewers on television last night – proof positive the taste of New Zealand viewers has plummeted to an all-time low.

The unsavoury and unedifying episode of TV3’s Target programme drew almost as many viewers as the top rating Masterchef, which it was up against on rival TV One.

It even outrated the first episode of TV3’s equally execrable reality show, The GC, which copped scathing reviews three weeks ago.
