TVNZ boss: some ondemand content could be made subscription-only

Television New Zealand chief executive Kevin Kenrick takes a philosophical approach when asked about the broadcaster’s second failed subscription service.

State-owned TVNZ announced today, along with its annual results, that it would be quitting its stake in Hybrid Television Services and pay-TV Igloo, a joint venture with Sky Network Television.

TVNZ invested $12.25 million for a 49% share in Igloo in 2012 but reduced its shareholding size to 34% last year.
