The government’s latest round of hob-nobbing with Hollywood has landed the country’s largest film deal.

But will the local “luvvies” be grateful? Probably not.

The local industry has been lobbying for further tax-related incentives to keep pace with those offered in Australia, the UK, Canada and elsewhere. But much of the industry wants these rebates to support New Zealand productions rather than it becoming a Hollwood outpost.
