An expansion of Southern Cross Forest Products' milling operations in the south Otago town of Milton could create up to 40 jobs.
Company business development manager Mark de Lautour said a specific site for the development was yet to be confirmed, but equipment for the mill was starting to arrive at Port Otago, the Otago Daily Times reported today.
Construction was expected to start in the next two months, and it was hoped the mill would be commissioned in the middle of next year.
