According to a Beehive media guide Prime Minister John Key is scheduled to be at the Auckland International Airport today in order to “accept the William Webb Ellis trophy”.
The event will mark the first time since 1987 that New Zealand held the trophy.
Later Mr Key will officially start the victory party, opening The Cloud, formerly known as “Party Central” on Auckland’s waterfront.
It is not known whether the freshly-obtained trophy will accompany the PM, turning the event into a victory party.
