Bruce Weir has been with Rabobank since 2000.

Thu, 29 Aug 2019

Rabobank New Zealand has appointed Bruce Weir as general manager country banking, responsible for the bank’s client-facing agribusiness teams across New Zealand.

Chief Executive Officer Todd Charteris said: “during his 20 years in rural banking, Bruce has held several senior roles – most recently as our interim general manager of country banking while we completed the recruitment process,” he said.

Weir, who has a Bachelor of Applied Science from Massey University, first joined Rabobank as a finance officer in Pukekohe in 2000. After a period at ASB, he returned to Rabobank in 2010 as branch manager in Rotorua and was promoted to regional manager Northern North Island in 2013.

In his new role, Weir will be a member of the New Zealand Leadership Team and Rabobank’s Australia and New Zealand regional executive team.
