New director for Metro Commercial

Jarred Dons jointly heads up retail leasing and sales transactions in the Auckland region.

Tue, 03 Sep 2019

Jarred Dons has been promoted to full director and shareholder at Metro Commercial as the business continues to expand in the primary retail and commercial markets.

Dons, who joined Metro in 2014 from CBRE, jointly heads up retail leasing and sales transactions in the Auckland region with co-director Nathan Male.

Directors Martin Hudson and Nathan Male said they were delighted to welcome Jarred into the ownership of Metro and the appointment was recognition of the work he had put into helping build the success of their business.  Together with Male, Dons has been extensively involved in leasing retail stores in the Newmarket, Ponsonby and CBD precincts. Most recently, Dons has leased the high profile former TSB Bank branch at 290 Queen Street to international lifestyle brand YOYOSO.

Dons' career started in 2007 as a graduate valuer with DTZ, followed by consultant roles with The Property Group and site acquisition within Vodafone before returning to valuation at CBRE, Auckland. He has a bachelor of business studies (valuation/property management and finance) from Massey University.
