We're in recovery: the final proof

Labour market data released today shows a continued pickup in the economy.

Unemployment fell to 6.0% from 6.2% of the workforce, according to Statistics New Zealand's household labour force survey. 

The improvement was across all industries; with a 22,000 increase in the size of the labour force and a 24,000 increase in the number employed.

Thus far, earnings are  - despite what has been claimed from some politically motivated quarters - tracking above inflation.
