We're in recovery: the final proof
Labour market data released today shows a continued pickup in the economy.
Unemployment fell to 6.0% from 6.2% of the workforce, according to Statistics New Zealand's household labour force survey.
The improvement was across all industries; with a 22,000 increase in the size of the labour force and a 24,000 increase in the number employed.
Thus far, earnings are - despite what has been claimed from some politically motivated quarters - tracking above inflation.
